Jackson and Teddy are 2 months old! They have gotten so big. They are both in the 10lb range, which means they have almost doubled there birth weight. They have both started being really alert and smiling when you talk to them. I love seeing them smile.

Gates and his first Jeep
Chris got a Power Wheel for Gates when the twins got here but he hadn't figured it out till this past weekend. Before, he would sit in it but he would get out if it started to move. This past weekend he finally pushed the peddle and rode all around in his Jeep. He hasn't figured out how to steer yet or how to reverse, but I am sure he will have it figured out in no time.

Making a house our home
Here are some pictures of some of the other projects I have been able to check off my to-do list.
I got new matching lamps for next to the bed, the sunburst mirror over the bed and my favorite part of our bedroom is the collection of pictures from our wedding and our wedding invite framed. The rest of the room is pretty sad for now and is still on the to-do list.
This was an awkward spot in our family room that i think looks really cute now with the new mirror and console.

Board and Batten nursery
The past couple of weeks I have really gotten my energy back and have gotten the hang of taking care of twins. After months of not getting anything done because of lack of physical mobility I have started getting things done around the house. I have a whole list of projects I wanted to complete with out the help of Chris. I didn't want Chris' help mostly because he has been so busy with work and for the simple gratification of being able to say I did it all by my self.
The big project on my list was getting the nursery for the twins done and I really wanted to do board and batten in it. Last week I got the bug in me to get it done and I did! I did this all by myself! The only help was from my mom with watching the babies. I painted the walls, did all the measurements, cut all the wood and caulked. It took me a week to get this done working a couple hours a day. It turned out soooo nice, now I am working on some art to go above the cribs and then it will be pretty much done.
Now, you might be thinking how did I know how to do this with out help. Well, back in the day pre-babies and marriage, my first job out of college was working for Black and Decker selling power tools. Yep, I was the tool girl. To sell power tools, you had to know how to use them so, I am pretty good at a miter saw and nailer.
side note: Black and Decker owns DeWalt. Most people don't know that. Also, that was the best job right out of college! I had a lot of fun, made good money, got to do some fun things, drove a big yellow truck and it really helped me in getting my more glamorous job I have now.

"buh bye"
Gates' favorite thing to say right now is "buh bye". He says it all the time and to everyone. It is so cute.

Disclaimer
It has been over a year and 140 post since I started blogging and time for a reminder to my friends and family why I blog. I blog to share what is going on in our life with the people dear to us that we don't get to see nearly as much as we would like and most of all share pictures of our family growing. I am terrible at writing and really hate putting thoughts into words. I am terrible at grammar, spelling and most of all proof reading. I am embarrassed to say that I rarely proof read any of my blogs, as you can probably tell. I am sure you have noticed also that I have a comma phobia. I am really not sure why. But, even after all the blogs with no commas, misspelled words and run on sentences, I am still going to blog, because we are all here for the pictures!

Brotherly love
Gates loves his brothers! It is so sweet. He loves to bring them their bottles or pacifiers and especially loves to hold them. The problem with him holding them, along with some others, is that he doesn't want to just hold one of them, he wants to hold both of them at the same time. I can't even hold both of them at the same time. Here are some pictures of Gates trying to love both of them at the same time. As you can see, Jack and Teddy were not enjoying the love as much Gates was enjoying giving it.
