Trip to Nashville

Saturday night was our first night leaving Gates over night. We survived and so did the Grandparents watching him. We went to Nashville for a couples shower for my good friend and Chrissy and her fiance Jordan. My other college friends Whitney and Ellen also made the trip up for the occassion dragging their husbands along for the weekend.

We ended the night with a game of Loaded Questions. This is my friend's favorite game. It is a blast, late at night, after a couple of drinks. We dont play to win. We play to see who can make everyone laugh the hardest.

Video of Gates

Well I have been waiting all week to post this video because it was suppose to be the first video of Gates eating his mush but Chris uploaded the wrong video and I dont know how to it so instead you get a not as exciting video of him eating. Better then nothing!

Keating!

Gates met his future trouble making partner. We went to visit Candace and Keating this past weekend. I forgot my camera and my phone so this is the only picture i have of Keating. This is from Chris' phone and that is Missy holding the tiny Keating. He was so sweet!

When I was going through the pictures on Chris' phone I also found this one. Gates likes his crazy dad.

Gates is 5 months old today! He has gotten so big!

Sitting Up

Gates is sitting up by himself. He can't do it that long before he tips over.

Do you like his cute little onsie? I made it and a couple other really cute ones! That is about the extent of my craftiness I have had time for.

We started trying to feed gates cereal and it has been interesting. I have a video of the first time and it is hilarious. I will share it as soon as Chris figures out how to put videos on here. I also have a video of Gates "talking" or more like screaming. Something to look forward to.

Have you seen Gates' room?

I love Gates' room! It is my favorite room in the house. It gets the most sunlight and his glider is the most comfortable place to sit.

These are the pictures over his crib that I had done by a person on Etsy of our furry babies that were here before Gates. I am so proud of MY mom for making these curtains. She is not much of sewer but she did an awesome job.This is the rug on the ground which is so soft and cute. The rocking horse was mine when I was little.

Gates Rolled Over!

I started this blog just in time. Today is the first time Gates rolled over! Actually, he rolled over last week but Chris and I missed it, so it didnt count.

Hello Friends and Family!

I have decided that I need to start documenting these special days with Gates' because they are already flying by so fast. We don't get to see our friends and family nearly as much as we would like so they are also missing out on seeing Gates grow up. So, I am going to make an effort to blog about our days with Gates and maybe some other random occurrences in our day to day life. Hopefully this will help me to remember to take more pictures and to document all of Gates' firsts. I want to go ahead and throw this out there that I am a terrible writer so we all need to just get past that and just enjoy the pictures of cute Gates.
