Four Seasons Lana'i

We are having an amazing time. Everything here is perfect! This is a post for all our family that is dying to know what it looks like here.

Eating lunch at the golf club. This is me after we checked in so I am wearing the lay they gave us when we arrived.

There are only three hotels on Lana'i and two of them are owned by the Four Seasons. We went over to have dinner at the other Four Seasons hotel which is on the middle of the island and is called the Lodge. We had the nicest dinner I think we have ever had. This island is so serene, there is nothing on it except the very little town and the Four Season Resorts. There are turkeys outside our door, pheasants, quail and deer every where. Chris wishes he had a shot gun. It has been wonderful because the Four Seasons offers so many different options of things to do. I will have to do another post of all the activities we have been doing.

Aloha! Hawaii is beautiful. We are already 3 days in and having a blast. We have been staying in Waikiki beach and leave tomorrow morning for Lana'i Island for the rest of the trip. Here is a recap of what we have been up to and seen.

We are in HAWAII!

I was in the top 10% of my company for 2009 so I am being rewarded with an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii . I worked really hard last year, so it feels good to know that all my hard work paid off. We are going to be in Hawaii for 9 days!

7 Months!

Gates is 7 months today! He says Momma, is trying really hard to crawl, eats baby food and has two teeth on the bottom front. We love him so much!

Wedding Recap

This past weekend one of my best friends from college got married to a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of being a part of the beatiful weekend celebration in Mobile, Alabamba.

I thought the back of the dress was just as pretty as the front and her something borrowed was my veil. This was the veils 3rd wedding. I love that this veil is special to some else also. I hope this wasn't the last time down the aisle for it.

This was the only group shot that I got with all my college friends. Hopefully some one got a better one then I did. If so, please send me a copy. The after party.

First word!

Gates said his first word this past weekend! We were in Mobile, Al for a wedding this past weekend and when we came in late Friday night Gates woke up and was upset and said it. I had a little to drink that night so I thought i was imagining it but Chris, Whitney and Shane all verified for me that he really was saying his first word.

Baby Shower

This past Sunday I hosted a baby shower at my house for one of my colleagues. Here are a couple highlights.These are some of the wonderful women I work with.

Of course there was a diaper cake. It was really cute but I can't claim the creativity. Some one else made it.

There was lots of yummy food and cake.

On the mantle is "guess the celebrity baby photo" game. This was the third shower it was used for and it has been a hit at all. In case any one is interested it was really easy to make. I went online and saved celebrity baby pictures and used picasa to make a collage with each picture numbered and then had it printed at Costco (they do big prints cheap, I think it was $5). Every one got sheets with numbers and had to match the numbers with the baby pictures. It was great because if there are those people who don't like baby shower games they don't have to play, but everyone did. I also added a baby picture of the guest of honor or there spouse. If any one needs a game and doesn't think they are up to putting it all together let me know because I can email the file so all you have to do is get it printed.
