Peas!

Gates is eating baby food. He ate the baby mush (cereal) for a while but he really hated it. He would spit it out and turn his head. So far he really likes peas, but he has also had carrots, plums, and green beans. It gets a little messy!

6 Month Check-Up

Gates had his 6 month check up Monday and his doctor said that he is looking great and was really impressed with how well he can sit up by himself! He said that it was a 7 month skill.

Weight 17 lb 11 oz

Height 27 1/2 inches

That puts him in the 50th percentile. He has slowed down on his growth. Last check up Gates was measuring in the 90th percentile for length and 60th for weight.

Spring Break!

Last week was spring break for Chris but unfortunately, he missed the bus to PC. So, he spent all last week doing projects around the house. I tried to help him out as much as I could, so the both of us have been really busy lately. It has been worth it though. The house is looking really good.

This is the guest bathroom before we moved in. We painted the walls, vanity, and medicine cabinet as soon as we moved in. This past week Chris ripped out the old ugly medicine cabinet and light and put up new. For a cheap redo I think it looks much better.

This was the front of the house before we moved in. We transplanted all the random plants planted in the front two bed and moved them to the back and planted some new shrubs. It doesn't look that different in the pictures to me but when looking at the house in person I think it made a big difference for the better.
Those are the two big projects that we worked. We also did a lot of touch up painting through out the whole house and some organizing.

6 Months!

I can not believe it has been 6 months! Gates is the happiest baby! He is always smiling and has so much personality already. He is perfect in every way. We are truly blessed.

He has gotten so big. He is wearing mostly 9 to 12 month cloths. I am hoping he is slowing down because he has so many cute outfits that he has barely worn. He has a check up tomorrow so I will let you know exactly how big he is when we find out.

Faces of Gates

I love every face Gates makes! Even when he is upset, which doesn't happen very often so maybe that is why Chris and I can laugh at it. Here are some I was able to catch on camera.

Gates and his best friend (for now)

Gates and Sam really like each other. Sam always lays down next to Gates and will lick Gates when he thinks we aren't watching. Gates loves to get a hand full of Sam's hair and laughs like crazy when Sam licks him.

Wild Game Night

Friday night before we went to Nashville (Yes, we are going backwards) we went to Game night at our good friends John and Katherine's house. Game night consisted of the guys pulling the frozen game that they shot out of the freezer for dinner and then playing some games ( Yes, more games this weekend. I love games so this was a great weekend for me!)

This is Leslie, his wild game that he had frozen in the freezer was a SQUIRREL! Thankfully he did not bring it but he did shoot it in his back yard and skin it with the intent of bringing it. Pour Rebekah, his wife, still has a frozen squirrel in her freezer.

This was the gang except John is missing. We played girls against guys Sceene It and Cranium. It is a toss up which game I like more, Cranium or Loaded Questions.Even Gates had a good time. He got to hang out with his bud Adam. Adam wore his camo in honor of Wild Game Night, how cute is he! Gates starts grabbing Adam trying to pull him closer.
