Teddy and Jack
Born March 30th, 2011 at 2:44 and 2:45
Tomorrow Jack and Teddy will be 1 year old!! We are so excited at our house and have been getting ready for a big birthday bash. Can you guess the theme?
They have turned into crazy little boys that won’t sit still any more for a picture so this is the best I could do.
Gates started climbing out of his crib so we had to give it up and move to the big boy bed. Gates has been really excited about it but of course the excitement of being able to get in and out of bed easily has gotten to him. Before Chris and I go to sleep every night, we like to peek in on the kiddos. Well, when we went to check on him the other night we noticed that his bedroom light was on. When we opened his door, this is what we found.
The picture is a little blurry but that is Gates hanging off of his bed. He was sleeping like this. Also, he had one arm out of his PJ’s. Not sure how this happened but it was hilarious.
Here is another picture of crazy antics at our house. Jack climbed into a pot. Kids are definitely entertaining.
Spring is hear and that means flowers! We have been busy working on our yard the past week and it is starting to come along. Still a ways off from what we envision for it but you have to start some where.
We cleaned out the back bed of our lot, laid the weed barrier, and planted some azaleas. We also planted some trees that will hopefully get big. I am thinking a privacy fence might also look nice going across the back but that’s not happening any time soon.
We also planted some plants in the bed to the right. A lilac bush, which smells amazing, iris, lilies, a cherry tree, a camellia bush, and a couple other random items.
Jack and his Maple tree.
Teddy and his Cherry tree.
It feels like we did a lot but there is still so much more to do. Unfortunately, we got really bad poison ivy in the process of doing all this and haven’t been very motivated to keep going.
Gates had a sleep over guest this past weekend. Max! Chris’s parents dog Max spent the weekend with us and Gates loved it. Max slept next to Gates’ bed. Sam won’t do this because he wants to be next to Chris at all times.
Max had fun getting into mud at our house.
Sam also gets into trouble. He loves to roll in the grass and then run in the house and shake it off. I could ring his neck when he does this.
We still love him anyway, even if he pops our ball and is constantly making messes.
Well as usually, we have been really busy around here. Spring has gotten me really motivated to get things done around our house so I have been spending every free minute that I am not entertaining little boys working on our house projects.
Gates loves some pizza.
This was my attempt to go grocery shopping with all three boys. It was crazy and I will not be doing this on a regular bases.

Teddy and Jack are only 1 month away from their first birthday! They are really started to show their personalities. Both are wearing holes in the knees in their cloths with all the crawling they are doing. They are so cute chasing each other around giggling and turning around to make sure the other is following. They do a whole arm wave up and down. Give high fives. Lots of babbling amongst themselves. Favorite thing to do is take baths. They also enjoy playing with big brother. Lots of exciting stuff these days and tons of fun to play with.
I have been neglecting a lot of things lately like blogging but all in good fun! I have been having so much fun playing with my boys and not worrying about really much else but my family. This is the way it should always be.
We have been to the library for story time, the park, picnicking, playing with friends, and making messes. Gates got a sand box fully stocked with toys from his friends that had out grown it. Gates is in heaven, he did not want to come in from playing in it.
I also got something that I am equally excited about. New dining room chairs! I am obsessed. The only problem with these new chairs was they made the current dining room chairs look really terrible. I couldn’t have the old dining room chairs with there outdated floral print fabric taking away from my new beauties, so I had to do a quick fix and I mean really quick. Same day I got the new chairs, I decided I had to recover the old, even if it meant using a paint drop cloth, and that is exactly what I did. A new paint drop cloth never used before, that I already had, was a perfect (cheap) fix until I figure out what I want to do with this room (curtains, paint, china cabinet, possibly new table, rug).
